CiM Tester Feedback

  • Hippo is a grey with a brownish hue.
"Hippo is an opaque grey with a hint of brown about it. It's very similar to CiM Khaki but in my opinion it behaves a little bit better. It's great to work with - it's got a nice medium consistency, it doesn't reduce or devitrify and it looks fab when etched." Read more at Laura's blog. – Laura Sparling

"This is a medium, opaque, slightly streaky grey. From left to right, with Double Helix Triton, which has been raked and reduced. Notice the fuming from the silver in the Triton on the grey has shifted it more to a Khaki colour. In the centre and on the right are two self-coloured beads." Read more at DragonJools blog.

"On the whole, I really, really like this colour. It's a great, neutral base colour, and the way the surface can be brought to a rich brown is particularly neat. The way the silver turns blue on it under encasement also makes me really happy." "Hippo works quite nicely as stringer too. It's quite crisp and smooth and only spreads if you really, really heat it. These beads show Hippo paired with Adamantium." Read more at Laura's blog.
